James Hershel Brewer

December 16, 1941 — April 17, 2020

James Hershel Brewer of Collinwood, TN was born December 16, 1941 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late William Wayne and Pauline Kephart Brewer. He was united in marriage to Barbara Louise Qualls on July 3, 1965 and she preceded him in death on May 21, 2011.

Mr. Brewer was a retired fork lift operator at Murray Ohio Manufacturing in Lawrenceburg, TN and was of the Baptist faith. He departed this life on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 4 Months, 1 Day.

He is survived by sons, James Anthony Brewer, wife, Jancie and Kenny Wayne Brewer, wife, Michele all of Collinwood, TN; son-in-law, Jason Stricklin of Lexington, AL; grandchildren, Megan Liles, husband, Josh, Jamie Ann White, husband, Nick, Jace Brewer, Kassidy Brewer, Alyssa Stricklin and Caleb Stricklin; great-grandchildren, Boone and Paul J. White and Alexia, Kimber and Rylan Liles; brothers, Leon Brewer and David Brewer, wife, Janie all of Collinwood, TN; sister, Louita Wilson of Prudenville, MI and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a daughter, Tosha Lynn Brewer Stricklin; brothers, Louil and Edward Wayne Brewer and sister, Mary Ann Brewer.

A private family graveside service and burial was held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 3 pm at Jackson Cemetery with Ricky Nelson officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisted the family.
