James Marion Brewer

James Marion Brewer of Waynesboro, TN was born May 2, 1924 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late George and Laura Brewer. He was united in marriage to Irene Virginia Pasko on September 2, 1949 and she preceded him in death on April 12, 1997.
Mr. Brewer was retired from General Motors and served in the United States Navy during WW II.
Mr. Brewer departed this life on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 3 Months.
He is survived by sons, Steve Brewer of Taylor, MI, Don Brewer of Romulus, MI, Joe Brewer of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters, Laura Phillips of Leoma, TN, Mary Bishop of Lawrenceburg, TN, Debra Self of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandsons; a sister, Freda Brewer Jones of Florence, AL; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Brewer; brothers, Allen Brewer, Wayne Brewer, Billy Brewer; sisters, Leona Fair, Ervie Rowden, Ann Kramer.
Services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee with Donnie Overton officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Friday, August 5, 2011 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
