James R. Brumley, 74, of Savannah, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Frances Pauline Joyner Brumley, who survives, he retired as policeman from the Middleton Police Department. Mr. Brumley was born November 6, 1932 in Chalybeate, Miss., son of the late Luther Trammel Brumley and Thelma Lucille Ragan Brumley and lived in Middleton for 15 years before making his home in Savannah 25 years ago. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Methodist and former member of Campground Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Timothy Kevin Brumley of Savannah; one brother, Jimmy N. Brumley of Lakeland; three stepdaughters, Connie Lewis of Slayden, Miss., Nancy Osburn of Selmer and Patricia Rickman of Eastview; one stepson, Quitman Hopkins of Manchester and one granddaughter, Monica Nixon.
