James Altumn Bryant was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 16, 1945, to the late James and Mollie L. Shelby Bryant. He was united in marriage to the late Mary Ann Franks on September 12, 1964, they were married for 2 months shy of 40 years.
James was a member of Mt. View Church of Christ. He worked at multiple places including, Liberty National, Combined Insurance Company, E & R Construction, but lastly he worked as a wielder at Savannah Machine Shop and Loader Company for 25 plus years. James loved restoring antiques, fishing, dancing, socializing with friends, woodworking, and going to the Raves Thunder Hill Dirt Track.
James Altumn Bryant departed this life on October 28, 2018 at the age of 73 years, 4 months, and 12 days. He leaves behind his two daughters Maria Bryant and significant other David Melson and Jamie Stricklin and husband Steve, all of Savannah, Tennessee, grandson Steven Stricklin and wife Terra and granddaughter Ashley Stricklin.
Proceeding James in death along with his parents and wife, his sisters, Frankie Bray and husband Robert, Gladys Boroughs and husband Jake, Dexter Russell and husband Jim, and brothers, Henry Joe Bryant and wife Deanna, and J.G. Bryant.
