JAMES EDWARD (PETE) BURNS
Was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky on March 29, 1951 the son of the late James Edward and Imogene Tripp Burns.
On August 27, 2014 he was united in marriage to Stella Mae Benson, who survives.
Mr. Burns served his country in the United States Army. He was of the Church of Christ belief. Mr. Burns enjoyed picking guitar, fishing and spending time with his family. He enjoyed working various jobs before getting sick.
Mr. Burns departed this life on November 24, 2014 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 26 days.
In addition to his wife, Stella of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by two step sons, Hershel Tilley of Finger, Tennessee and J. B. Tilley of Savannah, Tennessee.
three step daughters, Wanda Steely and Glona Hollander, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Frances Tilley of Calhoun, Georgia.

one brother, Michael Burns of Memphis, Tennessee
two sisters, Carol Stevens of Waynesboro, Tennessee and Joanne Gaine of Florida
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one step daughter, Shirley Powell, two step sons, Johnny and Herby Tilley and one sister, Joyce Jones.
