He also leaves 6 grandchildren, Aniq Heard of Nashville, Tennessee, Breaun Heard and Keeden Crockett of Marietta, Georgia, Trayshaun Wallace, Alveto Higgins, Jr., Sammarra Brumley. He leaves 5 sisters, Dorothy A. Alexander, Sherian D. (Emmitt) Hartnest, Kimberly G. Weatherspoon all of Savannah, Tennessee, Elizabeth A. (Antonio) McCoy of Tupelo, Mississippi and Catina Y. Weatherspoon of Savannah, Tennessee; 4 brothers, Floyd E. Weatherspoon of Queens, New York, Steve N. Weatherspoon of Savannah, Tennessee, Victor Weatherspoon of Dallas, Texas and Galvin (Linda) Weatherspoon of Indianapolis, Indiana; 2 aunts, Mary Weatherspoon of Savannah, Tennessee and Gertrude A. Pitts of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 2 uncles, Freddie Burns of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Edward Burns of Savannah, Tennessee; a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Mamie Burns, Nex and Lennie Weatherspoon; a sister, Shirley Ohiri; a daughter, Margaretta Wallace; a niece, Latoyia Weatherspoon; 2 nephews, Donnie Leon Hartnest and Antonio Teon Hartnest; 3 uncles, Raymond Frank Weatherspoon, William James Bailey and William Bumphus; a aunt, Georgia Lee Holliworth.
Mr. Burns was a lifelong Hardin Countian and had worked for Bob and Kathy Smith Construction for 21 years. He enjoyed fishing, his grandchildren, being with people, he never met a stranger. He was a member of Love Tabernacle Church in Savannah, Tennessee.
