James Arnold Caperton

Mr. Caperton departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2009 at his residence in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 5 Months, 28 Days. He was born June 16, 1933 in Waynesboro, Tennessee the son of the late John L and Tennie Violet Gambrell Caperton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Caperton was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene Caperton, Eunice Caperton and Raymond Caperton; four sisters, Emma Nola Caperton, Martha Lillian Caperton, Inava Moore and Margie Pearl Carr



Mr. Caperton was a crane operator .



He is survived by four daughters, Tammy Compton and husband Charlie of Kendalville, IN, Penny Battershell and husband John of Hicksville, OH, Robin Sanders and husband Ken of Hicksville, OH, Roberta Zimmerman and companion Jon Fry of Hicksville, OH;



11 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren



a brother, Rex Caperton of Cecil, OH;



seven sisters, Beatrice Evans of Waynesboro, TN, Joyce Durham of Hicksville, OH, Lillus Staggs of Waynesboro, TN, Evelyn Gobbell of Waynesboro, TN, Helen Hartman of Bryan, OH, Mary Sue Thompson of Decatur, IN, Sheron Clark of Ft. Wayne, IN;

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 , 10:00 am at Highland Methodist Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Tennessee with David Love officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
