Mr. James Robert "Bob" Capshaw, age 79 of Middleton, departed this life Saturday afternoon, June 22, 2013 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. Capshaw was born December 11, 1933 in Rogers Springs to the late William Matthew and Bertha Melissa Ann Antwine Capshaw. He served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. On June 25, 1956 he was united in marriage to Barbara Elaine Trainum, who survives. He worked as a salesman for Pepsi-Cola for 23 years as well as a truck driver for TNT Logistics and Nissan Logistics. He was a member of the Middleton Church of Christ, where he enjoyed serving as a Congregation Greeter. Among his hobbies, his favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting and telling jokes.
In addition to his wife of nearly 57 years, survivors include two daughters, Angela Phelps (Mike) of Grand Valley Lakes and Melissa Bodé (Jason) of Bartlett; a son, Gregory Capshaw (Angie) of Arlington; a brother, Sam Capshaw of Rogers Springs; two sisters, Mildred Almy of Aurora, Illinois and LaDelle Davis of Searcy, Arkansas; and seven grandchildren, Chris Phelps (Chasity), Gene Phelps, Cassidy Capshaw, Savannah Capshaw, Jacob Capshaw, Haley Bodé and Hanna Bodé. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Ruby Capshaw, Jessie Burgess, Ona Mae Hammons, Mary Alice Brubaker, Joan Capshaw and Jean Skelton; and two brothers, Lloyd Capshaw and Grady Capshaw.
