Henderson, TN: James Junior Cox, age 79, passed away March 20, 2011at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born and reared at Hornsby, TN the son of the late George Edward and Dora Parsons Cox. He attended school at Hornsby. He farmed as a young man and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He made his home at Silerton most of his life. He operated a service station at Covington for a few years and then worked at Kilgore most of his career and continued to farm.
He is survived by three sons, Benny Moreno (Martha) of Hornsby, Darryl W. Cox (Teresa) of Henderson and David Cox (Teresa) of Faulkner, MS; three daughters, Jamie L. Cox, Genie Jackson (Tommy) and Robin Stack (Glenn) all of Henderson; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Sires of Louisiana.
He also has a beloved dog Bob.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ricky Lynn Cox, Billy Edward Cox and Eugene Cox and sisters, Olene Ferguson, Virginia Friedley, Ruby Cox and Sue Theobald.
