James Keith DeBerry

James Keith DeBerry

was born in Shiloh, Tennessee on September 9, 1948 the son of the late Abner William and Mary Elizabeth Jordan DeBerry.

On August 28, 1970 he was united in marriage to Marie Johnson, whom he loved and was married to for 48 years, preceded her husband in death on July 7, 2018.

James worked as an Engineer for the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation. He was a lifelong resident of Shiloh, Tennessee and attended Michie Primative Baptist Church. James enjoyed yard work, especially being outside tending his lawn. He loved spending time with family, friends and Allie his granddaughter. James always had stories to tell about his friends. He also enjoyed watching old westerns and listening to 1950s music.

James departed this life on September 29, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 73 years and 20 days.

He is survived by one son, William Robert DeBerry and his wife April of Kossuth, Mississippi; granddaughter, Allie DeBerry; brother, Larry DeBerry of Shiloh, Tennessee; niece, Amanda Taylor; and nephew, Robert DeBerry.
