Mr. James Thomas Dickey, departed this life on Thursday, January 5, 2017at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 3 Months, 21 Days. He was born September 15, 1932 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Alvin and Annie Mae Skelton Dickey. In addition to his parents, James Thomas was preceded in death by brothers, Cletus Dickey, Edward Dickey, sister, Louise Jackson.
James Thomas was a Painter/carpenter . He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of God , served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korea War. James Thomas loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening .
He is survived by sister, MIldred Woods of Murfreesboro, TN. several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Tommy Burke and Tim Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Skelton Cemetery ,Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 10, 10:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
