James Dixon

James Dixon III was born October 20, 1950 in Savannah, TN to the union of the late James Howard and Mary Frances Dixon, Sr. He departed this life on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Baptist Memorial East in Memphis, TN at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 6 days.
James received his education at Dunbar High School. He was a proud employee at TSU as an agriculture farmer and janitor for 20 plus years. James Jr. will be remembered for his acts of kindness by going out of his way to help others. "Little Daddy" will be missed.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Dixon.
He lives to cherish his memories four daughters, Yolanda Parker (Wayne) from NY; Jessica Shelton (Cedrick) from Bethel Springs, TN; Sgt. Qualia Abraham from NY; Nakiska Dixon of Nashville, TN. One sister Janice Bumpous of Savannah, TN, one brother Anthony Dixon (Angie) of Savannah, TN.
He also leaves his loving aunts; Chaney Winters, Hattie Dixon, Georgia Dixon, and Inez Dixon all of Savannah, TN; and one uncle Robert Lee Dixon of Savannah, TN, one great aunt Minnie Graham. He leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends will miss him dearly.
