James Edward Norman, 70, of Middleton, passed away Sunday morning, December 11, 2022, at Bolivar General Hospital.
He was born in Memphis to the late James Archie and Mae Juanette Coleman Norman and lived his youth there. On June 12, 1970, he was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Elam. They moved to Hardeman County in 1983 and she passed from this life on March 4, 2006 following 35 years of marriage.
Mr. Norman was owner/operator of Norman Construction for 12-15 years and retired as a machinist from Thyssen-Krupp Elevators in Middleton following 12 years of service. In his leisure time, he enjoyed deer hunting, guns and fishing. An avid dog lover, he will be missed by his Belgian Malinois, Max.
Most of all, Mr. Norman was a man who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He always took time to thank Him as he began a task or a meal and desired that all come to a knowledge of Him and be saved. He was a faithful, active member of Essary Springs Baptist Church.
He leaves his son, Dennis Norman of Pocahontas; two daughters, Crystal Norman of Maryland and Melissa Cruys (Jeremy) of Hanover, PA; a brother, Tom Warren of Pocahontas; two grandchildren, Amelia and Calisto; and a host of friends too numerous to mention. In addition to his parents, he was precedes in death by an aunt who raised him, Helen Inez "Honey" Warren.
