James T. Edwards

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Carroll and Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in North Highland Cemetery ,Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.



Visitation will be on Monday, October 26, 5:00--9:00 pm and on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro,TN



Mr. James T. Edwards departed this life on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 10 Months, 22 Days. He was born December 3, 1927 in Hohenwald, Tennessee the son of the late Jack Moore and Mary Jane Pope Edwards. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by grandson; Barry Matthew Carroll ;

two sisters, Irene Kelley and Ruth Frazier.



He was united in marriage to Dorothy Evelyn Rasbury on August 22, 1950.



Mr. Edwards was a retired factory worker from Genesco. He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee.



He is survived by his wife Dorothy Evelyn (Rasbury) Edwards of Waynesboro, TN;



daughter, Sarah Ann (Edwards) Carroll of Waynesboro, TN;



son, Jerry Wayne Edwards of Elk River, MN;



grandson; Thomas Hugh Edwards



granddaughter; Amy Renae Carroll



a brother, Leamon Edwards of Waynesboro, TN;
