James A. Garbo, age 42, passed away February 7, 2026, due to unknown causes.
James was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Brittney Garbo; his son, Kasen; his daughters, Addisynn and Dawson; mother, Carol Hester; his brothers, Rex and Brandon Holden; his aunt, Carol Sloan and husband Keith; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nephews.
James was preceded in death by his father, Rick Garbo; his aunt, Vickie Lamply; grandparents, James and Gloria Holden; sister-in-law, Amy Golden. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will forever be remembered for the impact he made on those around him.
James spent three years working for Spectrum after moving to Tennessee. Prior to that, he lived in Illinois where he worked as a volunteer firefighter.
He was devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams. James also enjoyed going on vacation with his wife and children, making memories that will last a lifetime.
James will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his work, and the memories he leaves behind in the hearts of those who loved him.
