James Andrew Garrett departed this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the age of 54 years, 10 days.
He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 2, 1959, the son of the late Andrew and Lillian Price Garrett. James was self-employed as a carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking, playing guitar, singing, and fishing with his grandson, Austin. He had lived in Hardin County most of his life and was of Baptist belief.
James is survived by his children, Allen Garrett and wife Jaclyn of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Jason Garrett of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Kristy Risner of Clifton, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Austin Gambrell, Jasmine Garrett, Rachel Risner, Madison Risner, Allisa Risner, Haley Garrett, and Avery Garrett; sisters, Rebecca Brown and Joanne Conway both of Savannah, Tennessee, and Kathy Garrett of Waynesboro, Tennessee; brothers, Larry Garrard of Florence, Alabama, Stevie Garrett of Nashville, Tennessee, and Donnie Garrett of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Stetson Risner; brother, Robert Garrett; sisters, Judy Horton and Margaret Garrett.
