James "Jimbo" Robert Golliver

James "Jimbo" Robert Golliver, 83, of Adamsville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on September 3, 2026. He was born June 1, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Howard James Golliver and Nola Lavelle Shaw Golliver.

Jimbo proudly served his country for eight years in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he worked for the carnival for many years and as a sewing machine mechanic until his retirement. He was a faithful member of New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and American Legion Post #97 in Adamsville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Celia Elaine Qualls Golliver; his son, Wesley McMillen; his daughter, Kimberly Brooks; his brothers, Guy Golliver and Dale Golliver; and 6 great grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Melissa Roland, Celena Stephens, Jamie Golliver, Gina Golliver Ridenour, Jaclyn Jones, and Jennifer Jackson; his sister, Cheryl Golliver; his grandchildren, Kristy Farris, Danny Pinson, Elvis Doyle, April Bishop, David Pinson, Alicia Davis, Kelsey Roland-Williams, Jocelyn Pettus, Annabelle Whitaker, Wesley Ridenour, Andrew Ridenour, William Jackson, and Kaitlyn Jones; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Jimbo lived life in his own special way and found joy in the things he loved most. He loved to travel, go on cruises, take random car rides, spend his days at flea markets with his flea market buddies, and never passed up the excitement of a carnival. He was also devoted to his two loyal dogs, who were faithful companions and always by his side. He was a praying man who loved the Lord deeply.

More than anything, Jimbo loved his family, especially spending time together and having family dinners. His stories, personality, adventures, and the countless memories he created will be treasured for generations. No matter what was needed, he was always there to help. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness, his family finds comfort knowing he is free from pain and reunited with the love of his life, Celia Elaine.

His life may have come to an end, but the love he gave, the memories he made, and the legacy he leaves behind will live on forever. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
