James A. Harrison

January 13, 1944 — January 30, 2015

JAMES ARNOLD HARRISON, SR.

was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 13, 1944 the son of the late Romie Clifton and Alberta Skeen Harrison. He grew up in Senatobia, Mississippi before moving to Memphis, Tennessee.

Jim was united in marriage to Barbara Kay Hall, who currently lives in New Albany, Mississippi and is survived by his two sons, Jay Harrison of Savannah, Tennessee and Rodney Harrison of Seattle, Washington, one stepdaughter, Stacy Perry of Chicago, Illinois and one stepson, Beau Sanders of Memphis, Tennessee. One grandchild, Karlee Hodge and one great grandchild, Finley Hodge. He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Libby Sanders and one grandson, Colby Harrison the son of Jay and Cher Harrison.

Mr. Harrison served his country in the United States National Guard and worked in the automobile industry for a majority of his life. He was a very headstrong individual, but his latter life was filled with the love of family, reconciliation and new found peace with God. It was when he finally surrendered that the Lord then brought him home.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter
