James E. Honey

August 17, 1936 — April 4, 2005

James E. "Jimmy" Honey, 68, of Hornsby, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Jackson-MadisonCounty General Hospital.



The husband of Oma Lee Sanders Honey, who survives, he was a

maintenance worker at Bemis Mill for 29 years. Mr. Honey was born

August 17, 1936 in Nashville, son of the late Louise Laverne Braggs Collins and spent his early years in Covington before making his home here in 1969. He was Baptist in belief.



Services were 2 PM Wednesday, April 6 at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Bolivar with Aaron Moss officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Bolivar.



In addition to his wife, whom he married December 14, 1957, survivors include four sons, Jerry and Steve Honey, both of Hornsby, Robert Honey of Pinson and Eddie Honey of Medon; one daughter, Martha Honey Rowland of Jack's Creek; three sisters, Rita Kendrick of Spring Creek, Judy Brooks of Medon and Robbie Cooper of Jackson; five brothers, Harvey Lee Honey of Atoka, Bubba Collins of Toone, W.C. Collins of Jackson, Sammy and Ricky Collins, both of Toone and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Georgia Diane Nance.
