James Albert Jacobs

September 13, 1947 — February 12, 2015

Mr. Jacobs passed from this life on Thursday morning, February 12, 2015, at Genesis Healthcare in Trenton, TN.

A native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, he was the son of the late Frank Scott Jacobs and Edith Remell Ray Jacobs. A 1965 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, he served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for Murray Guard in Jackson for 12 years and was a member of the Dixie Hills Baptist Church. An avid sports fan, he was particularly fond of basketball and football. Mr. Jacobs was loved by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his aunt, Annie Mae Ray Henderson of Ripley, MS and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Remell Jacobs.
