Arrangements are currently incomplete for Mr. James Jennings, age 68 of Bolivar, Tennessee, who departed this life Monday evening, February 2, 2015 at Bolivar General Hospital.
Mr. Jennings was born in Vert-Le-Petit, France Wednesday, August 21, 1946 to the late James and Jeanne Marie Couzinet Jennings. When he was six months old, his family moved to the United States, and he grew up and graduated from high school in Bolivar County, Mississippi. He has lived in Tennessee since 1973.
On August 6, 1966, he was united in marriage to the former Betty Jane Prewitt, who preceded him in death November 25, 2012. He served in the United States Air Force as a firefighter from December 1, 1968 to March 20, 1970. Most recently, he worked as a Facilities Security Officer at Kilgore. He was Southern Baptist in belief, and enjoyed carpentry and fishing.
Mr. Jennings is survived by his son, Michael Jennings and wife Tracy of Bolivar; two sisters, Michelle Arnold of Piperton, and Sissy and husband Willie of Greenville, Mississippi; a brother, George Jennings of Jackson; and five grandchildren, Cody Jennings, Clay Jennings, Austin Jennings, Brianna Smith, and Allison Smith.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Jennings; and three brothers, Claude Morro, Billy Jennings, and Frankie Jennings.
