James Hillard Kelly

James Hillard (Dumpy) Kelly of Waynesboro, TN was born August 20, 1934 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the son of the late Hillard McKinley and Myrtle Estell Sparks Kelly. He was united in marriage to Pearlean Pigg on May 17, 1958. Mr. Kelly was a logger .



Mr. Kelly departed this life on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Countryside Health Care in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 19 Days.



He is survived by his wife, Pearlean Kelly of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Dan Junior Kelly and wife, Jennifer of Collinwood, TN; a daughter, Nancy Staggs and husband, Tommy of Waynesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Brandy Brewer Carroll and husband, Phillip, Breann Lawson, Bethany Brewer and fiancee', Shaun, Jeremy Staggs and wife, Tiffany, Jason Staggs and wife, Amanda; seven great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kaybree Carroll, Jayanna and Braxton Kelley, Kyler, Jaythan, and Matthew Staggs; a brother, Donnie Kelly of Cypress Inn, TN; and a very special friend, Art Sutton.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Kelly, Ray Paul Kelly; two sisters, Mary Kelly, Marie Kelly; a grandchild, Justin Kelly.



Services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in the Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Kelly, Tim Kelly, Jeff Kelly, Mike Jackson, Doug Folger, Matthew Staggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Keeton, Buddy Throgmorton, Neil Moore, James Allen Helton, Elvin Martin, Dennis Skimehorne, Glen Skimehorne.



Visitation will be Friday, September 10, 2010 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home.
