James Kenneth Sullivan
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 25, 1940, the son of the late Reeder Owen and Hazel Hardin Sullivan.
James worked as a supervisor for Brown Shoe Company for 24 years. He worked for the company in Savannah, Tennessee and then moved with the company to St. Louis Missouri and eventually worked in China. James later worked as a supervisor for General Electric, where he retired from. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, fishing, working on his Allis-Chalmers tractor and his old '78 Silverado Deluxe hardbody truck. James loved his dogs and was an animal history buff. His favorite saying was "Well, what's that got to do with me."
James was a member of the Royal Mason, Savannah Lodge and he attended Nixon First Pentecostal Church.
He departed this life on Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 82 years, 9 months, and 25 days.
James is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Sullivan and Stacy Sullivan, both of Henderson, Tennessee; brother, Elvis Sullivan of North Carolina; many nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Glenda Sullivan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Eric Sullivan and one brother, John C. Sullivan.
