James Ernie King was born March 2, 1956 in Selmer, TN the son of Elizabeth Ann Leonard King and the late James Welborn King. He was an Oil Rig Operations Supervisor. Ernie departed this life on September 9, 2018 in his home at the age of 62 Years, 6 Months, 7 Days.
He is survived by a son, Jamie Daniel King of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Audrie Hopkins of Corinth, MS, Jake King of Selmer; his mother, Elizabeth King of Selmer; his wife, Ellen King of Selmer; two sisters, Janice Wilson and husband Jimmy and Patricia Moore and husband Phillip, both of Selmer; two nieces, Amy Gee and Jenna Foote; a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Ernie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruce and Thelma Leonard and D. M. and Mittie King.
