James Thomas Lynn

was born May 28, 1925 in Collinwood, TN the son of the late Foster and Hester Odle Lynn. He was united in marriage to the late Ruby Pearl Simmons on June 2, 1944. Mr. Lynn departed this life on November 17, 2018 at the Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 5 Months, 20 Days. Mr. Lynn held many occupations over the years, some of which include farming, carpentry, mechanics and factory work. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Reba Hollis of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Alana Baxter and husband Albert, Serena Pierce and husband Barry, Mendy Thrasher, Dustin Lynn, James Steven Lynn, Dalana Hensley and husband Stephen and Jon Lynn; great grandchildren, Blaise Baxter, Breslin Baxter, Carter Pierce, Kenzie Thrasher, Paxton Hensley, Adalyda, Miranda, Easton and Glen James Lynn; nephews Jerry,David, Roger, Billy, and Doug Risner ; niece Kathy Yates

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Lynn was preceded in death by two sons, Joel Thomas Lynn, James Thomas Lynn Jr. ; a sister, Carrie Lynn Risner and husband (Cleo); and a nephew Timothy Risner.

Services will be held on November 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in Copeland Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee
Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of services.
Visitation will be on Tuesday November 20, 6 till 8 p.m. and on Wednesday November 21, 11:00 am till service time at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro.

Pallbearers include Shane , Trevor, Ronnie, Michael, John and Carson Risner.
