James Harold Martin

James Harold Martin of Collinwood, TN departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Signature Healthcare Nursing Home in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 55 Years, 6 Months, 30 Days. He was born July 24, 1958 in Lawrenceburg, TN, the son of the late William Jackson and Annie Jeanette Lancaster Martin.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wayne Martin and sister, Ethel Martin.

He is survived by, brothers, Tommy Martin of Cypress Inn, TN, Dalton Martin, Donnie Martin, Billy Martin, and Joel Martin all of Collinwood, TN and Robert Martin of Waynesboro, TN; sisters, Annie Ayers of Lutts, TN and Opal Hayes of Florence, AL; companion and former wife, Ada Martin ofCollinwood, TN; step-daughter; Melissa Dixon; grandchildren, Cheslea , Deja, and Dylan Dixon and Hunter, Lucas, and Preston Bryant; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday,February 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with John Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Joe Martin, Bruce Martin, Lucas Bryant, Randall Wright, Jonathan Wright, and Mark Whitney. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Victory and Billy Hamsley.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
