Edgar McBride

Edgar McBride, 79, of Bolivar, passed from this life Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

The husband of Bobbie Self McBride, whom he married on November 10, 1984, he was the shipping manager for Schutzer Industries and David Goldsmith.  He was born Sunday, August 8, 1943, in Sallis, Mississippi, son of the late Britt and Mary Lois Aldy McBride, living most of his life in Koscuisko, MS prior to moving here in 1984.  He enjoyed  hunting in his younger years and later in life, spending time with his grandchildren.  Mr. McBride was a member of Bolivar Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter,  Hope Todd (John) of Bolivar; six brothers and sisters, Brenda Nowell (Larry), Bobby McBride, Jeffery McBride (Debra), Jeanie Herron and Debbie  Brown (Gerald) all of Kosciusko, MS and William McBride (Georgie Ann) of Hattiesburg, MS; and two grandchildren, Sarah Grace Todd and Anna Claire Todd.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roger Dale and Ray McBride and a sister, Bernice Lowery.
