James D. McClain

James D. (Jimmy) McClain was born April 16, 1934 in Pleasant Site, Tennessee the son of the late Freeman and Lena James McClain.
He was united in marriage to Bettye Sue Sims on June 26, 1953.
Mr. McClain was a truck driver for over 40 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Site Baptist church and attended Gravel Hill Baptist church. He loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids more than anything. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved truck driving and being on the road with his baby. He loved his dogs and grew some of the best tomatoes. He will be truly missed by his family.
Mr. McClain departed this life on November 15, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 6 Months, 30 Days. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bettye Sue McClain of Selmer, TN; three daughters, Jan Parson and husband Dennis of Counce, TN, Sherry Crumby and husband Tommy of Selmer, TN, Melody Clayton and husband Tracy of Jonesboro, AR; two sons, Jerry McClain of Gilchrist, TN, Mike McClain and wife Susan of Bethel Springs, TN; three sisters, Christine Sewell, Kay Nix, Janet Ferrel; four brothers, Maury McClain, Larry McClain, Phillip McClain, Ricky McClain; 15 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McClain was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Glen McClain; three brothers, Wendell McClain, David McClain, Ronnie McClain.
