Mr. Jones passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at his home near Middleton.
A native of Ripley, TN, he was the son of the late Novel and Virginia Sue Dunavant Jones and lived a large portion of his life in Memphis before moving to Hardeman County. He worked as a painter.
Among his survivors, he leaves a sister, Charlotte Lopez and a brother, Roger Dale Jones, both of Ottawa, Illinois; and a sister-in-law, Carmen Jones of Middleton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Irene Ellingburg; and four brothers, George, Walter and David Jones and Eddie Dunavant.
