James Dale "Hippy" Pulley departed this life on Thursday July 19, 2018 at his home in Iron City, Tennessee at the age of 60 Years, 6 Months, 24 Days. He was born December 25, 1957 in Rockford, IL the son of the late Gene Mathews and Hettie Josephine Pulley Devers.
He was united in marriage to Shirley Morgan on September 18, 2004.
James Dale "Hippy" was a saw operator for Brown-Forman.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Morgan Pulley of Iron City, TN., sons, James Allen Pulley of Georgia, Scottie Dale Pulley of Waynesboro, TN, Derek Eugene Pulley of Iron City, TN, Scott Matthew James of Waynesboro, TN, Daniel Allen James of Collinwood, TN., daughter, Katie McKnight of Clifton, TN., 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Ralph Devers of California,, Frank Daniel "Buck" Rumbaugh of Iron City, TN., sister, Wanda Nolan of Lawrenceburg, TN.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pulley was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Rumbaugh Holder and Helen Dixon, brothers, Paul and Norman Devers, nephew Mark Skelton
Services will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Camryn Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Griggs Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 21, 6:00-9:00 pm and on Sunday, July 22, 12:00 noon until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood.
