James "Punkin" Sisco, 59, of Hickory Valley, departed this life on Thursday morning, August 7, 2025, at his home.
Born in Jackson, Mr. Sisco was a life-long resident of Hickory Valley where he worked as a self-employed logger for 33 years before retirement in 2021. He was the son of the late James Douglas Sisco and Betty Mae Chambers Stanfill, who survives. He was passionate about his work which limited his outside activities except for being an avid fan of the western, "Gunsmoke".
He is survived by his companion of over 22 years, Tina Voyles of Hickory Valley; his daughter, Tabitha (Andy) Hodge of Middleton; his mother, Betty Stanfill of Somerville; his sister, Candice Stanfill of Cordova; his grandson, Gavin Harmon of Middleton; step-son, Joshua (Sara) Voyles of Hillville; three step-grandchildren, Timothy, Alexis and Makayla Voyles; and his beloved "Chizer" pet dog, "Kia Marie".
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, James and Birdie Chambers.
