James Noble (Red) Qualls was born May 7, 1930 in Alabama the son of the late James Arthur and Martha Ann McDaniel Qualls.
He was united in marriage to Lila Fern Locke on December 25, 1951.
Red retired from Brown Shoe Company in Selmer, TN. He loved working on old cars and trucks, being outside and going to flea markets. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Qualls departed this life on May 22, 2016 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 15 Days. He is survived by his wife Lila Fern Qualls of Selmer, TN; two sisters, Freda Finach of Buffalo, NY, Rheba Pipkin of Johnson City, TN; two grandchildren, Donnie Qualls of Albuquerque, NM and Casey Marcom of Jackson, TN; a great-grandchild, Brenton Porter; two special nieces, Vicki Boyd and Charlotte Brewer; a special cousin, Debbie Qualls; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Qualls was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Qualls; three brothers, Gordon Qualls, Kenneth Qualls, Fred Qualls; five sisters, Earlene Killingsworth, Inez Raines, Lennie Curtis, Virgil Plunk, Mary Christine Qualls.
