James Calvin Robertson

James Calvin (Bill) Robertson of Iron City, TN was born July 4, 1923 in Wayne Co., TN, the son of the late James Marshall and Fannie Artimist Daniels Robertson. He was united in marriage to Corene Stults on January 3, 1948.

Mr. Robertson was a farmer and of the freewill baptist faith. He served in the United States Army during WWII and departed this life on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his home at the age of 90 Years, 9 Months, 1 Day.

He is survived by his wife, Corene Robertson of Iron City, TN; sons, Danny Robertson and wife, Vicky, Harold G. Robertson and wife, Wanda, James E. (Ebb) Robertson and wife, Doris, Robert K Robertson and wife, Teresa and Joel L. Robertson and wife, Sheryl all of Collinwood, TN and Donnie C. Robertson and wife, Marcie of Iron City, TN; a daughter, Sharon Reaves and husband, Larry of Columbia, TN; 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, 4 Step-Grandchildren and 5 Step-Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by a son, James D. Robertson; a grandchild, Brooke Robertson; brothers, Roy, Buford and Andy (Mutt) Robertson; sisters, Alta Gipson, Ida Brewer, Annie Mae Edgar and Iva Dean Rich.

Services will be Monday, April 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with grandson, Billy Dan Robertson and John E. Banks officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Chandler Daniel, Shane Reaves, Thomas Reaves, Marshall Robertson, Dustin Robertson and Jacob Robertson.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Monday, April 7, 2014 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
