JAMES ROGERS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 16, 1928 the son of the late Emmett and Lola Droke Rogers.
On April 23, 1955 he was united in marriage to Ella Rhea who preceded her husband in death on November 21, 2001.
Mr. Rogers retired from Brown Shoe Company after 30 years as an Electrician. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Rogers was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a member of the Savannah Masonic Lodge #102. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers for everyone. Mr. Rogers also enjoyed going to auctions, gardening and he enjoyed being outside and working.
He departed this life on December 14, 2009 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 28 days.
Mr. Rogers is survived by one daughter, Regina Simbeck and her husband Damien of Killen, Alabama.
2 grandchildren, Christina Simbeck and Elizabeth Simbeck
Other than his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Max, David and Kenneth Rogers.
