James V. Sanders

Mr. James Vernal Sanders, age 71 of Marysville, Washington, departed this life Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Providence Regional Hospital at Colby in Everette.



The husband of Linda Watters Sanders, who survives, he worked as a supervisor of 747 wing structures with Boeing Aerospace for 30 years prior to his retirement. He was born at home in McNairy County on September 8, 1941 to the late Hugh and Bertha Goodrum Sanders and was raised in Hardeman County. He lived in Ft. Lewis, Washington prior to serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War and afterwards moved to Snohomish County, Washington where he made his home with his wife and family since 1966. Among his hobbies were golfing and treasure hunting with his metal detector. He also loved to go to garage sales. Mr. Sanders attended Fellowship Baptist Church.



In addition to his wife, whom he married on September 2, 1966, he was the adoring father of four children, Tony Sanders of Wasilla, AK Michael Sanders of Tacoma, WA, Steven Sanders of Puyallup, WA and Angel Howard of Stanwood, WA; and a fun-loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Deegan and Amy. In addition to these, he is survived by eight siblings, Jessie Sanders of Henderson, Jimmy Sanders of Dover and Jerry Sanders of Burlison, Margie Moore and Oma Honey of Hornsby, Jo Ann Glidewell of Gladstone, MO, Lorene Cossar of Bolivar and Betty Foster of Hornsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sanders.
