James (Jim) Simpson departed this life on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at the age of 63 years, 2 months, 5 days. He was born in Hannibal, Missouri on July 8, 1952, the son of the late George Allan and Frances Bernadine Jacobsmeyer Simpson. On November 2, 1990, he was united in marriage to Debra LaForce, who survives.
James was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the VFW, where he was a the Post Commander and District Commander, MOC, he was the Grand Commander, and the Fleet Reserve.
He loved woodworking, genealogy, working on cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife, Debbie Simpson of Savannah, Tennessee; children, James Allan Simpson, Jr. of Germantown, Tennessee, Jamie Michelle Lemmon of Munford, Tennessee, Amanda Suzanne Butler, and Carl Adam Kent both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sarah, Kaylee, Dalton, Claudia, Wyatt, William, Christopher, Chase, and C.J.; sister, Julia Schatzer of Columbia, Missouri; and brother, George E. Simpson of Mexico, Missouri.
