JAMES C. SMITHBethel Springs, TN: James Crowley Smith, age 75 passed away January 21, 2010 at his home.He was born and reared in Chester County in the Laurel Hill Community, the son of the late Jack and Gladis Roland Smith. He attended Phillips School House in Chester County. He worked as a tool and die man at Bruce Hardware Floors when he lived at South Haven and Collierville. He moved to Bethel Springs and worked at G.E. in Selmer for 23 years until he retired in 1993. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.He is survived by a son, Kevin Smith and wife Freda of Ramer; two daughters, Debra Peetz of Jasper, IN and Kim Reynolds and husband Michael of Selmer; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Maynard Smith of Bethel Springs and Glen Smith of Bartlett and two sisters, Peggy Patterson of Finger and Barbara Weaver of Henderson.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Tepe in 2001 and a brother, Doug Smith.
