Georgetown, IN: James Donald Stewart age 72 passed away February 2, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
He was born October 16, 1942 in the Glendale community of Chester County, the son of the late James Robert E. Lee Stewart and Clara Sue Barham Stewart. He graduated Chester County High School in 1960. He married Eva Ruth Pierce in 1960 and he farmed. He married Janie Marie Smith in 1966 and they made their home in Chester County and he worked for Clean Linen Service in Jackson as a delivery driver. They moved to IN in 1989. He loved camping in the mountains and at Chickasaw State Park. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church at Jacks Creek.
He is survived by three sons, Todd Stewart of Henderson, Robert Stewart of Georgetown, IN and Eric Stewart of Georgetown, IN; two daughters, Lee Ann Thomas of Henderson and Christy Stewart Timberlake of Georgetown, IN; six grandchildren, John Nick Thomas, Megan Thomas, Paige Thomas, Lauren Timberlake, Tommy Hannah and Brian Hannah; six great-grandchildren, Frankie Butler, Chasity Butler, Tristen Butler, Brenlee Hannah, Austin Hannah and Kasyn Hannah and two great-great grandchildren, Bentley Wayne Butler and Carter Blaine Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marlin Stewart.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Allen Brown officiating and burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday.
