James Michael (Mike) Surratt

James Michael (Mike) Surratt was born on October 3, 1949, the late James Ernest and Mavis Lucille Gann Surratt. On June 6, 1993, he married Connie James Surratt, who preceded him in death. James departed this life on April 9, 2017, at the age of 67 years, 6 months, and 6 days.

James served his country in the United States National Guard. He later worked as a truck driver for Roadway Express. James was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed riding motorcycles.

James is survived by his daughter, Chasity Timberman of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Shane Surratt of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Jenny Rodgers of Memphis, Tennessee and Ila Linam of Savannah, Tennessee; and a granddaughter, Delaney Timberman.

Memorial Services were held on April 20, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville in Adamsville, Tennessee, with David Sauer officiating.
