Ronnie Tillmon, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on November 22, 2025, in Bolivar, Tennessee. Born on May 22, 1965, in Hardeman County, Ronnie was a lifelong resident of the area where he made many cherished memories.
Ronnie dedicated a significant portion of his career as an operator at Vandiver Sawmill. His unwavering work ethic remained a testament to his character, even after he became disabled. Despite the challenges he faced, Ronnie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His passion for working with horses was evident, and he took great delight in riding his side by side. He also enjoyed the great outdoors, relishing in fishing and hunting whenever the opportunity arose.
Family was of utmost importance to Ronnie. He is survived by his sons, John Tillmon and Lindsey of Bolivar, and Casey Tillmon of Bolivar. He was a proud grandfather to Kailey Nelms, Addley, and Alayna Tillmon, who brought light and joy to his life. Ronnie also leaves behind his sisters, Janice Wilson of Bolivar and Patricia Hernandez of Middleton, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Memorial services will be set at a later date.
Ronnie was predeceased by his father, James Richard Tillmon; his mother, Elizabeth Ann Nelms Tillmon; and his brother, Danny Tillmon. Their love and guidance significantly shaped the man he became, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A man of great faith, Ronnie lived his life as a Christian, which brought him comfort and strength throughout his journey. His legacy will be carried on through his family and friends, who will remember him for his love, laughter, and zest for life. Ron's quiet strength and kindness will be deeply missed by all, but his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
