James Tisdale, age 77, died Saturday March 2, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born August 7, 1935 to the late Jim and Gladys Tisdale.
He was a 1953 graduate of Whiteville High School where he was valedictorian. He was also a graduate of Lambuth College. He taught at Bolivar Central High School and also coached basketball. He was the owner and operator of Tisdale's Laundry and Car Wash. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bolivar. He was also an avid UT and USJ football fan.
James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anneva McDaniel Tisdale, whom he married on July 1, 1956; daughters, Margaret Ann Strope and husband, Steve; Vicki Wilson and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Leah Margaret, Mitchell, Mason, John-Gregory, Kara, Jacy, Jack and Jake.
