James Thomas Vales

Mr. Vales passed away Monday morning at his home.
The widower of Glynda Faye Sipes Vales, who died on March 24, 2004, he was disabled, having formerly worked for the Kilgore Corporation. He was born September 9, 1940, in Bolivar, son of the late Ed and Rosa Grantham Vales and lived all of his life here. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Gray of Dyersburg; a son, Lynn T. Vales of Bolivar; three sister, Thelma Palmer of Parsons, Katherine Hall of Arlington and Bobbie Squires of Bolivar; three brothers, Jerry Vales of Toone, Frank Vales of Savannah, GA and Ronnie Vales of Poplarville, Miss.; five grandchildren, Michael Gray, Alex Vales, Becca Wyman, Thomas and Mandy Taylor. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Taylor, a brother, Russell Vales and a grandson, James McBride.
