James "Jim" Walker

James Edward Walker, age 92, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on February 17, 2019, in Cabot, Arkansas. James was born on November 19, 1926, in Crockett County, Tennessee, to Nicholas and Bertie Walker.
In November of 1947 he was united in marriage to Marie Austin, who preceded her husband in death on November 11, 1995.
James retired after 42 years with Union Planters & Regions Bank, where he was Vice President. He served his country in the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was a member of Mullins Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and his wife, James was preceded in death by eight brothers, N. S. Walker, George Walker, Clifford Walker, Basil Walker, Paul Walker, Billy Walker, Buford Walker and Jackie Walker, and three sisters, Tilda Latham, Ollie B. Taylor and Ruth Kirby.
