James Lowell White

James Lowell White Sr. was born May 25, 1927 in Giles County, TN the son of the late J. B. and Lamora Thomas White. Mr. White died Tuesday, July 15, 2013 at NHC Scott in Lawrenceburg at the age of 86 Years, 1 Month, 20 Days. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melvalene Gatlin White February 21, 2009. Mr. White, a member of County Line Church of Christ, was a cattle farmer and had worked at Murray Ohio retiring after over 30 years of service.

He is survived by two sons, James Lowell White Jr. and wife Misty, and Donnie White, a daughter, Connie Olmstead and husband Robert all of Lawrenceburg, TN; 6 grandchildren, Shena, Meggan, Canon, Whitney, Kiara, and Asa, 2 step-grandchildren, Amy and Micah, and 6 great grandchildren,
brother, Billy White and wife Alene of Minor Hill, TN, and a brother-in-law, Ken Edmunson of Decatur, AL; nieces, nephews, and friends. Also he was preceded in death by a sister, Elouse Edmunson.

Services will be Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with John Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg Highway, with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5:00-9:00 PM and Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 8:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
