James Hubert Young

James Hubert Youngwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 15, 1912 the son of the late Richard Alexander and Eliza Alice Scott Young.In December of 1933 he was united in marriage to Ledia Jewel Morton, who preceded him in death on December 19, 1987.Mr. Young was a member of the Hardin County Senior Citizens and Campground United Methodist Church, where he was song leader for many years, church superintendent, and Bible teacher. He received a plaque for oldest member of the church. He was a farmer and enjoyed playing dominos.Mr. Young departed this life on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the age of 97 years, 6 months, 12 days.He is survived by a daughter, Nila Franks and husband Cecil of Columbia, Tennessee; 3 sons, Ernest Young and wife Blonnie, David Ancil Young all of Savannah, Tennessee, Aaron Young and wife Rachel of Kansas City, Missouri; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Seleta McCall; a son, Seamon Rayford Young; 2 sisters, Marie Godwin and Mazie Godwin; 5 brothers, Archie Young, L.V. Young, Dalton Young, Ruben Young, and an infant brother.
