Henderson: Jamie Canada, age 64, died Wednesday evening, September 9, 2009 at his home in the Harts Bridge Community of Madison County.
Mr. Canada was born and reared in Dyer County, the son of the late Herston and Grace Riley Canada. He graduated from Trimble High School in 1963 and had completed many continuing education courses from area Voc Tech schools in plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and other maintenance courses. He had worked as supervisor of maintenance for the Chester County Board of Education for the past 10 years. He was a licensed auctioneer with Don Ellis Auctioneers.
He was married to Janet Moss and they made their home in the Harts Bridge Road Community of Madison County.
Mr. Canada was a retired Sergeant First Class, E7 from the Tennessee National Guard after serving over 38 years with the Trenton Armory.
He is survived by his wife Janet Moss Canada of Jackson, a son Brian Canada and wife Lisa of Jackson, a daughter April Canada of Henderson, two step sons: Keith Moss and wife Anita of Pinson and Kevin Moss and wife Jada of Medon and eight grandchildren. He also has a sister Hope Dunivant of Kenton.
He was predeceased by three brothers; Billy, Riley, and Joe Glenn Canada and by two sisters Josephine Sims and Sunshine Schrier.
