Jamie Casteel

Jamie Casteelwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 11, 1932 the son of the late Doss Wheeler and Madge Kay Bennett Casteel.On March 26, 1955 he was united in marriage to Virginia Hazel Tilley, who survives.Mr. Casteel worked in the timber business all of his life and was a life long Hardin Countian. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with animals, and being with his great-grandson, Peyton. He was a member of Campground United Methodist Church.Mr. Casteel departed this life on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the age of 76 years, 11 months, 15 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Casteel is survived by a son Travis Earl Casteel of Savannah, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Rich, Amy Smith, Felicia Casteel, and Chasity Casteel; 5 great-grandchildren, Peyton Rich, Lilly Rich, Madison Smith, Dalton Smith, and Noah Casteel.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Casteel; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Tidwell and Inez Bennett; 4 brothers, Harold, Wheeler, Roy D, and Lois Casteel.
