Jan Denson Hicks

Jan Denson (J. D.) Hicks of Waynesboro, TN was born August 8, 1943 in West Blocton, Alabama, the son of the late Howard R. Hicks, Sr. and Etoyl Oglesby Hicks. He was united in marriage to Jo Ann Kilgour on June 27, 1980.Mr. Hicks was a retired heavy equipment operator, was of the Baptist faith, and was formerly of Stuart, FL.Mr. Hicks departed this life on Monday, February 22, 2010 in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 66 Years, 6 Months, 14 Days. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Kilgour Hicks, Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Karen Hicks Clements and Katherine Hicks Blalock both of Carrolton, GA; grandchildren, Stephen and Matthew Chrisman, Michael Clements, Drew and Devyn Hicks; brother, Howard R. Hicks Jr., West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Patricia Burns, West Blocton, AL; his former wife, Jackie Fulton, Villa Rica, GA.In addition to his parents, Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by a son, Jan Denson Hicks II. Mr. Hicks was cremated and no services have been scheduled. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County, Waynesboro, TN is assisting the family.
