JAN JOHNSON MABRY

Knoxville, TN: Jan Elisa Mabry, age 69, passed away September 28, 2026, at her home.

She was born, December 23, 1956, daughter the late Leon and Betty Lancaster Johnson. She grew up in Henderson, TN and graduated from Harrison-Chilhowee Baptist Academy.

She married Phillip Mabry on October 26, 1985, and they made their home in Jackson and then moved to Knoxville in 1998.

She loved her dogs and she leaves behind “Merry” her Welsh Corgi. She also enjoyed talking to friends, keeping busy watching her T.V. shows and being on social media.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Henderson and had sung in the choir for many years.

Mrs. Mabry is survived by her husband, Philip Gordon Mabry of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Jack Johnson of Jackson; mother-in-law, Mary Layman of Miamisburg, OH; an aunt, Saundra Gamble of Jacksonville, FL; brothers-in-law, Roy Mabry, Jr. of Jackson and Jeff Mabry (Carol) of Milan, TN; a cousin, Leann Leonard (Eddie) of Germantown, TN; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Betty Johnson.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 30th at Henderson City Cemetery, with burial to follow.

The family will receive friends at Henderson City Cemetery,10:30 AM until 11:00 AM service time Wednesday.
