Jane Carrell Yeiser Hampton of Waynesboro, TN was born October 15, 1944 in Columbia, TN, the daughter of the late Edwin Ramsey and Emma Estoile Belew Yeiser. She married Terry Wayne Hampton on June 25, 1971.
Mrs. Hampton was a retired teacher with the Wayne County Board of Education, a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee and a pianist, organist and vocalist. She was a member of SSHBEA, Tennessee Walking Horse Association and the National Spotted Saddlehorse Association.
Mrs. Hampton departed this life Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 5 Months, 18 Days.
Survivors, her husband, Terry Wayne Hampton of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Edwin Wayne Hampton, wife, Melissa and John Guy Hampton, wife, Jennifer all Waynesboro, TN, Andy Yeiser Hampton, wife, Angela of Savannah, TN, Charles Glenn Hampton, wife, Korie of Lawrenceburg, TN; a daughter, Carrell Yeiser Stovall, husband, George of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Nick and Ashley Taylor, Tristen, Chase, Hannah, Gracie, Hadleigh Kate and Harper Hampton, John Robert and Jane Carrell Stovall and soon to be Haley Jane Hampton; a sister, Rebecca Elizabeth Yeiser Williams of Jackson, TN.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hampton was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Yeiser.
Services will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bro. Craig Mason, Dr. Derek Westmoreland and Bro. Randy Isbell officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Larry Haggard, Martin Haggard, Bobby Andrews, Mike Gower, Harry Floyd and Steve Koster.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 5 pm to 9 pm at the funeral home. Her body will be placed in the church two hours before the services.
